History
Creation
X is the final testament to the will of Dr. Thomas Light. However in he feared the humans where not yet ready to live with something so close to them as X. You see X would be the first Android who would not be bound by the laws of robotics. He could think, grow, feel, learn, decide on his own. This infinite potential could help usher in a new age for mankind or bring forth a wave of destruction. Because of this X was sealed away for more than 30 years in stasis where he would undergo a series of diagnostics to ensure X's systems lacked any errors. Dr. Light did this because he would not live to see the completion of his greatest creations tests. He awakened him 3 times and on the final time told him that he should use his power to help the people of the future find there way to real peace.
Unsealing
X passed all of these tests and was found in the year 2114 by an archeologist Dr. Cain after excavating the ruins of Dr. Lights lab. He couldn't understand X's design because his specs where never released to the public and Light passed away long before X would ever be awakened. His technology was ahead of anything ever seen at that point on earth. Using the basic information of X's schematics Dr. Cain developed the next-generation androids whose systems where replications of X. Which coined the phrase 'reploids'.
Dangerous Machine
However the new generation reploids never where put under the same diagnostics X had undergone that delicately balanced and perfected his systems over the years. The result was that the new generations would act irregular on occasion and some of them going so far as to become violent and even kill there fellow reploids and even human beings. These reploids where labeled 'Maverick'. As the production of reploids where well underway a system of monitoring had to be set in place as more and more reploids began to grow maverick. The human government set in place a group to deal with the Maverick Hunters.
Sigma
Dr. Cain's greatest creation at the time. Sigma's systems where close to and even exceeding X himself in some areas during the time of his creation and was regarded as the greatest of all reploids. Cain even implemented a system in sigma that would prevent him from becoming maverick. The human government placed sigma in control of the 17th Elite Unit. X feeling responsible for the situation joined the maverick hunters and became apart of this unit. He often hesitated in battle unable to fully commit to destroying another being. Because of this many looked at X as being weak. At some point in time Sigma came in contact with a berserker red android (Zero) and during the course of the battle came into contact with Zero's internal programing. Despite this Sigma managed to subdue this maverick and bring him in.
Recipe for disaster
When sigma came into contact with Zero's programming it incorporated itself into the Cain's program to keep sigma from going maverick. However Cain copied this program from X himself and hadn't realized it was flawed. When the two combined a virus was born that would rest inside sigma slowly taking him over. Due to his high level programing this was a slow gradual descent into madness.
Coup of Abel City
The raging maverick Zero was able to be restored to a 'sane' state of behavior and his personality and battle capability allowed him to become one of the 17th unit. Advanced machines continued to go out of control and during the course of the investigation the Hunters learned a Hacker was breaking into the machines highly detailed code and changing it. X and Zero would lead the investigation while Sigma handled other matters. All the clues left Zero to believe the reploid in question had to have high level capabilities. This ultimately led Zero to go on a hunch and head Abel cities missile base where he and X would discover Sigma. Advancing toward him Zero was able to ward of Sigma's surprise attack on the two realizing it was sigma all along who was starting the coup. At this time the virus from the programs of the two androids along with his own design had sent him into madness. He believed he would usher in a new age. An age where reploids held the power separate from humans. Using Zero as a hostage X disarmed himself. Sigma launched the missiles on Abel city itself causing widespread destruction. The reploids under him also had fled prior to the missile launch joining the leader they believed in.
The Maverick Wars
This would start a chain of events that would go on for a hundred years. X and his maverick hunter allies fought against sigma's forces and sigma himself many times. Each time the ongoing battles destroyed earth more and more. In one instance a massive space colony was smashed into the planet sending out debris that wouldn't settle for hundreds of years. The needless destruction would continue...and X and his allies would continue to fight it. During this time Orbital Elevators started to be in the works.

Revival of Dark Energy
Dr. Albert Wily now in the robotic body and calling himself Isoc gives Sigma information on an extra-terrestrial biological energy that was extracted from an alien robot hundreds of years earlier. This was simply called 'Dark Energy'. In its testing it amplified reploids powers a hundred fold and increased the maddening rage of the 'maverick' like state. Sigma planned to use this energy using several already in place orbital satellites and land structures to send a wave of this energy throughout earth. X and his allies separated to handle the threat on several different fronts. X fought his way straight toward sigma where he would face off against sigma in yet another new body and several mavericks who where engulfed by this time in evil energy. During the course of the fight a dimensional cascade formed teleporting X , Sigma, and the Mavericks into the unknown.
Time and Time again
X was teleported several hundred years into the past by the enigmatic Stan to the Robotic Megafact Corporation. This time period however was at the corporations end. It had since been an abandoned facility. It was filled with technology that for X was nothing but a nostalgic look at an old world. After some minor exploration Stan confronted X and the two began to talk. Stan inquired about X's motives and X didn't fail to present his beliefs. As if expecting nothing less Stan presented X with a choice. The chance to return to the past to a point in time where he could his abilities to help those that would need it. After some deliberation... on the possibility of distorting space time X agreed. Just before figuring out Stan's nature was far more than that of a simple organic being he was whisked away. A foreboding apology about 'Sigma' are the last things X hears before he is sent through the temporal divide once more.
Personality
X is a thoughtful spirit who over the years has still believes in peace. He is a pacifist at heart and if he can avoid fighting he will do so if he can resolve the situation peacefully. He believes all people can coexist in harmony and he fights for when that day comes. He cares deeply for all the people lost to war which only motivates him more to see it come to an end. Due to these views he often hesitates in battle even when he has the upper hand which leads many to look down on him for his naive ways. However its these qualities that lead many people to look to X as there 'Light'
Capabilities
- Super strength
Like most robots, X has strength and speed well above the normal human capacity. Being shifted through space time twice has cause some detrimental effects to his entire body stopping this fact from being entirely true.
- X-Buster
X's primary weapon is the X-Buster, described as Mega Buster Mark 17. The X-Buster focuses energy from X's fusion reactor into a plasma bullet that causes physical damage upon impact. Developed by Dr. Light in accordance for X's system, the Variable Weapons System is integrated into X's X-Buster. X's Buster System is potentially very powerful, in the fact that its charging capabilities are theoretically infinite. Its attack capabilities can be modified via various armor parts. It is currently showing powered down effects due to the space time shift X experienced being sent to the dimensional warriors.
- Variable Weapons System
X has the ability to adapt the weapons systems of powerful enemies that he has defeated into weapons he can use. These weapons come in many varieties, often providing additional mobility as well as offense. Currently most of these abilities are sealed by X himself.
- Wall Kick|Wall Kick
X has the ability to cling to vertical surfaces (e.g. walls). On a wall, X normally slides downward slowly, but by kicking off the surface of the wall he can gain height, and even rebound back to the wall to climb it.
- Emergency Acceleration System
This ability increases his speed, X is capable of using the ability to leap further than normal in a "dash jump," as well as dash from objects to which he is clinging.
Affiliations
X is a class S maverick hunter and now is a currently affiliated with the dimensional warriors though he has no ranking label within the group.
