History

Origins

Mario and his twin brother Luigi was born on an island called Yoshi's Island, and a seagull was assigned to take the two to their parents. This was stopped when Baby Bowser targeted the two and tried to capture them. Luigi was captured, but Mario was lucky enough to get away while the seagull was being attacked. After that, Mario stumbled onto his first friend, Yoshi. With his help, Mario was able to get his brother back, as well as defeat Bowser for the very first time. They were then sent to their home to grow up peacefully.

Years later, their parents found out about Bowser's plans for revenge, being vengeful for his lost and quite angered. His plan was to outright kill the children, but that never happened, as the parents decided to use the power of the Legendary Power Stars to send the brothers to the real world, where they'll be safe from Bowser's grasp. It was there that they were able to fully grow up, but with hardly any memories of their parents.

Donkey Kong

As they grew up, Mario and Luigi started a plumbing service in Brooklyn, New York. On the side, Mario took another job as a construction worker to get some extra money. This somewhat backfired when an unknown "gorilla" named Donkey Kong attacked the construction site and kidnapped Mario's girlfriend, Pauline, while she was visiting him. Despite the odds, Mario was determined to save Pauline from Donkey Kong. While so, Mario display a significant amount of acrobatic skills that he didn't know he had, which allowed him to dodge a large number of obstacles and Donkey Kong himself. Eventually, the construction site collapsed on top of Donkey Kong, and Mario used his new skills to save Pauline and get her to safety.

In the aftermath, the animal service captured Donkey Kong and jailed him. However, Mario was soon informed that his nemesis was freed by Donkey Kong Jr.. There was no other word about them however, so life went on as usual.

The Mushroom Kingdom

As they grew older, Mario continued to take a number of side-jobs while doing his plumbing service with Luigi. On one job, they were paid to fix a pipe in a bathroom, and it happened to 'suck up' Mario and Luigi, pulling them in. They were then teleported to the Mushroom Kingdom. A humanoid named Toad met up with the Mario Bros. and told them about an attack that occured on their kingdom. He requested for the Mario brothers to help his kingdom take down the almighty King Bowser. While Luigi didn't want to get into it, Mario was all for it, confident in his abilities that he discovered during the Donkey Kong incident. They traveled for a very long time, castle to castle, region to region, thwarting many opponents. At the last castle, they eventually got to Bowser himself. With the help of his brother's abilities, Mario was able to outwit Bowser and defeat him. It was then that they were able to save Princess Peach Toadstool. Grateful for their help, both Mario and Luigi were taken back to Mushroom Kingdom, and was given their own home. Mario at the time started to develop feelings for Peach, but he kept them hidden as he figured it wasn't his place.

Time and time again, many attacks had happened on the Mushroom Kingdom and other places, and Mario as well as Luigi was there to answer the calls for help. Mario himself became famous for his endeavors, so much that the entire world, and then other places, knew of him. The Kingdom eventually gave Mario (and Luigi) the title "Master", which means that they showed a high amount of dedication to the Mushroom Kingdom and are highly respected. So Mario was eventually called "Master Mario".

Due to their work, the world was a much better place. Eventually, Mario completely broke away from his past in the real world.

Avalon

On one peaceful day, Master Mario was back to his plumbing services on his spare time. Everything seemed well until he was randomly sucked up (once again) in a warp, and was teleported to a whole new dimension called Avalon. Mario was the very first, but more soon came, being randomly warped onto this new area. Mario was eventually met by the mastermind who done this, Oberon. He purposely done this as a call for help, as he needed Mario's help in order to stop the omnipotent being called Wilhelm. Master Mario, being the person that he is, decided to help.

His first assignment however, was to get to know his teammates. Link and Teresa were pretty easy. Both were quite heroic, Link especially, and they both shared similar outlooks on life. Sonic the Hedgehog was a bit harder. His laziness, inability to be serious about some important things, and his tendency to sleep a lot were often irritating, but Mario eventually accepted him for who he was and they became friends. The hardest out of the bunch however, was Shadow the Hedgehog. Quite anti-social, blunt, and humorless. In fact, Mario wasn't the only person having problems with him. The only person that Shadow was remotely nice to, was Sonic. That however, was going to be enough to get Shadow to help out at least.

After that, Oberon gave the group plenty more assignments to take up, which the team did. The first few were difficult, as Link soon showed a side that Mario didn't notice, his preference to work alone. Teresa was often quite hungry, and Shadow was just being Shadow, often staying behind and not caring for what happened to them. Sonic surprisingly however was a team player, and worked with Mario well, and it was often because of him that the team was able to complete assignments without dire casualties.

As things continued to become harder and harder, it was critical that Mario brought the team together before going any further. With a large amount of work and help from Sonic and Teresa, he was able to convince Link to see this team as a family, and Sonic was able to convince Shadow that this team had a purpose that he had to fulfill with them, whether he liked it or not. As time went on, the team gradually got better and better at their teamwork, and then were able to breeze through assignments without much difficultly.

They became so talented that people began to dub them as Avalon's Knights. While they didn't use the name much, everyone agreed that Mario should be Commander, with Link as the Squadron Leader.

Breaking the Shields

At this point, AK (Avalon's Knights) became quite proficient, and it was time to put all of their work into one very important assignment: to break the shields to Wilhelm's fortress, so the fleets of ships, which also held The Dimensional Warriors, would be able to attack his base. With Oberon teleporting them onto the fortress, the AK stealthily made it to the control room, where Mario was able to power down the shields.

It was at that point where they were detected by Wilhelm, and for the first time, the AK were able to meet him face-to-face. Wilhelm informed them that, he knew this would happen, but decided to let them do it, as the cycle will just repeat itself time and time again. The AK wasn't going to let that happen, but Wilhelm did not want to be bothered with them. Knowing that Wilhelm is someone beyond the caliber of what they can take on, they were forced to stand down. Oberon then warped the AK back to Avalon. The rest was up to The Dimensional Warriors.

The Dimensional Warriors

Months later, the AK was leisurely at peace. However, that soon came to an end when an new enemy attacked Avalon and severely injured Oberon. His name was Zed, and he was bent on destroying him as well as Avalon's Knights. Oberon however, used his power to teleport the AK away from Avalon, and away from Zed.

After that, they were sent to Hikaru City, where they were put in a middle of an attack, which happened to be towards the Dimensional Warriors. The team helped the DW in getting rid of the enemies, and introduced themselves as well as explained their situation. Understanding, they housed them in and allowed them to join the team, as well as keep their little group.

Later on, a large number of problems happened to the DW, including an incident in Hikaru City caused by one of their own teammates, Maeve. This caused a very large argument and a lot of disorganization, and Link was often targeted by Maeve since Link supposedly caused discrimination. That aside, Mario often stayed out of the disputes and attended to AK, and this also caused him to appreciate more of what his group is, which lead him to truly think of them as a family.

A number of things happened, which caused the DW to move to a new area, called Eden. Mario still stayed the way he was, often being out of the picture, until his brother Luigi was teleported onto Eden, rather hysterical. When Mario found Luigi, he was able to snap him out of his state and got him to explain what happen. Apparently, Daisy and Yoshi were attacked by a man, with a scruffy beard and black hair. Sadly, Mario did not know of this person, but he reassured Luigi that the two of them were fine. His brother now satisfied, Mario allowed Luigi to stay at his home. For the first time in a long time, Mario felt like things truly were getting better.
