Honoka is a cheerful teenage girl and naturally dislikes fighting. She spends a majority of her time studying or mingling with civilians as it's where she feels she fits in the best. She is not a fighter at heart, but may be convinced to help in dire situations due to her abilities are quite... helpful. She has cases of homesickness sometimes to her previous position among the Elite Beat Agent squads.

Childhood

Honoka comes from a wealthy family and was raised with deep care and love from her parents, definately having a wonderful childhood. When she came to the age of starting to attend school, coming from a rich family more or less meant she attended a private school in which she grew a liking to books in general and started reading alot. Despite her upperclass stature, she was never really closed in from reality, and her fondness of reading gave her a wide perspective of the world and the people around her.

Pre-Ouendan

Six years ago, Honoka witnessed for the first time one of the male Cheer Squads in action, using a power called 'El' which they could control in odd manners to inspire and cheer people up in to her, odd routines. Watching the effect of the Cheer Squads El making people happy moved her and made her grow an interest for it, and when the Cheer Squads cheergirls later saved their town, no probably the world from a meteor by gathering people all over the town and cheering against it, Honoka was hooked, she wanted to join! So she applied to the E.N., assumed to stand for "Encouraging Nobles" or "Nobility", which turns out being a collection of other rich people who they too, wish to help people. However just being interested in joining is no simple task, especially not for Honoka who has no previous experience, nor is even good at sports. However Honoka had a strong determination, and albeit bad at sports in general and even a bit clumsy at times still managed to pick up the trade and over a couple of years, she even managed to get a spot into the Magnificent Cheergirls trio for the E.N., marking her as one of the best there is (but in terms of skill, she's the worst of the three). The leader of the trio is Rin Shirosaki, who is a rather independant woman, a very good friend to her teammates and is often seen doing various volunteer jobs, taking care of others. The other teammate is Reika Minazuki who's a rather naive woman who had a more closeminded upbringing than the other two and even only recently learned about instant noodles.

Ouendan!

Now a full-fledged member, and even part of the Cheergirls Squad, her team takes on several 'jobs' to help people do what seems to most the impossible, be it helping someone who's failed getting a job 99 times to actually get a job or helping a shoe salesman to start an intergalactic shoe-brand and becoming filthy rich, some obviously easier than others, but the truly easy ones are usually covered by the male squads. After mere months of her new position, she encounters the Cheer Squads Cheergirls, consisting of Sayaka Amemiya (leader), Aoi Kanda and Anna Lindhurst, she finds out they are pretty much a rival team, splitting their town in half (conviniently enough E.N.'s side is the nicer and richer looking side while the Cheer Squad's the middle to poor class side). Honoka herself doesn't pay the rivalry much thought as she is all about helping, and she even looks up to them some as they already saved the world once. Months later, the two different cheering squads however had to combine their efforts as the suns glorious warmth faded, causing major hail storms across the world, and they used their cheering to save the people across their town and gather them up. However after gathering them all up, the C.S. girls shoved Honoka and her teammates away to save them from a giant ice shard crashing down, leaving a huge crater and the C.S. girls nowhere to be seen. As silence looms in a now freezing, sad and grey scenario of people in grief at the loss, a small boy starts shouting "Ouendan!" slowly but surely, and more and more people catch on. Once the entire town shouts in unison, the E.N. recovers and joins in, directing it all to the center of the crater and eventually recovering the C.S. girls, leading onto a combined world effort of reheating the world and finally sending a cheer laser at the sun to reignite it to its former glory, returning warmth and preventing an ice age.

The after story

As the two squads saved the world, a mysterious agency on the other side of the globe obviously catches onto the existance of these japanese squads and informs them of their already efforts of stopping music hating aliens invading the world. Agreeing that they share the same goal, the squads join up the EBA as a side-group of sorts, as their methods albeit reaching the same goal, have some differences to them. However as for Honoka.. maybe her cheerful attitude could be used to solve some other peoples foul moods as they save entire galaxies from threats not even heard of to most..
