Before Eden
Akera Sorel was born in March of 1986 to Conner and Aylen, two hunters in a village on the rain-forested borders of a small country called Irigazo. Her mother's family had a tradition of giving the first-born daughter a name that started with the letter A, hence her mother's name as well as her own. When she turned eight, her mother allowed her to come on short hunting trips close to home with her so she could learn how to hunt. After five years of training, she was allowed to go on longer hunting trips further into the forest surrounding the village.
Akera also grew up to love and understand animals, felines in particular. When she was sixteen and finally allowed by her parents to go hunting alone, she came upon a dead mother tiger in the woods near her mother’s usual hunting grounds. Upon closer investigation, she found two newborn cubs, a boy and a girl. She ran home and got a blanket, which she wrapped them both up in and brought them home, feeding them and taking care of them. She named them Akachi (the boy) and Alaina(the girl), and they have been her faithful companions ever since.
Arrival - November 2008
Her journey to Eden was rather odd, as it is for most people who arrive. She was on her way home from taking Akachi and Alaina for a walk when the tigers scented something that bothered them greatly. Following them, she found a dark-haired man in a purple suit, standing in front of a cave. After being ignored when she asked his name, Akera, Akachi and Alaina followed him into the dark reaches of the cavern. Eventually Akera would see something purple out of the corner of her eye, the cave suddenly becoming very cold. Making their way out of the cave, they found themselves, not in the jungle of their home, but in a snow-covered forest, with huge black walls as far as the eye could see. After a while of traveling through the woods, the trio came upon a WRO installation, where she was eventually brought in contact with someone from the Dimensional Warriors.
Personality
Akera is very shy until she gets to know people, then she opens up a lot more. She is already friends with Corrine Leingod and has been dating Ghenna Folcwin since the beginning of June, 2009.
Capabilities
Physical
Akera is rather well-versed in martial arts as well as staff fighting. She came to Eden with a wooden staff that she used to stun prey back home so that Akachi and Alaina could kill it.
Magic
Akera has been teaching herself magic and can currently only disorient opponents and also give allies a low-level cure, but will be working her way up as time goes on.
