6.19 Ghosts of the Past
In the aftermath of Alkaiser's demise was the reiteration of the remaining zenith points given...and in the current state of affairs, a consensus was reached to advise a visit to the zenith point upon Rygar. Serving as a former Cetran home demolished by the wrath of a genocidal rampage, the rich verdure of the landscape bore a mournful sorrow to it, as a grave marking that could easily unnerve those who had a sense for such things. In spite of the rich plant life there was a great sense of sadness, permeated by the lack of sentient life as well as the scattering of fissures where the lifestream had burst forth.

As the group crossed a stream, they soon found themselves donning the appearance of ten-year-olds, bearing witness to what once had transpired there. The image of a small village, festive and lively, chasing fireflies and playing a little catch, soon to be interrupted by the chime of a voice announcing supper's anticipated arrival. The scene seemed peacable enough till a green-skinned, strikingly beautiful white-haired, violet eyed woman descends from the skies bearing a scornful expression, the visage of Queen Mab. Her furious expression is unleashed in the form of magic, commandeering the very earth itself to turn upon the Cetrans as the very blades of grass began to turn upon them. Hailstones the size of cars began to crush every home and being in sight, the very blades of grass rending asunder even the children who fled in horror and in vain. The group shared in the immense pain as the home in which they dwelt was suddenly clamped together as a powerful vice. The feeling of splintering bone could be felt as Mab's words rang thus: "The world will not mourn your passing, nor will any remember what happened here." And then the image faded.

An ocean lay before them now, with but a root to mark their path ahead. Crossing the root and through a dilipated living room to the next pathway, leading into a large office within the citadel...where the Aegis Engine awaited upon the 20th floor, along with a pair of solitaire jumping puzzles, the latter of which confounded the group quite a bit. The powering upon the doors also required a mechanic involving wiring through several conduits to hold a charge upon a door at 60-second intervals, as well as wiring nine pathways between six points without any wire-crossing. After passing through these myriad obstacles, the zenith stones began to chime...

Upon entering the new room after the wire puzzle the DW found the next Zenith Point inside a massive mechanism much like a giant clock designed to keep track of the various dimensions locations, now in disrepair with vines wrapped around many sections keeping it from staying in sync the gears were soon started by Giygas. As the arms moved and gears rotated Glenn, Aziel along with Maeve all climbed to try and reach the stone before the manifestation of destruction did. As beams fired at the would be climbers trying to keep them back, Nero tried to stop one of the arms but found himself unable to simply being carried along by the massive arms. Aziel played decoy to give the others time to move vines and reach the stone. Others such as Erica tried to climb up but were simply swatted off by the massive swinging arms.

As they reached the upward toward the super fast arm that represented milliseconds, Jericho in an act of what seemed like self sacrifice jumped into the gear box fouling up the gears as Giygas' attempt to dislodge him failed. Meanwhile as Aziel dodged attacks the fast moving arms slowed down granting enough room for Maeve to reach the stone in time and Giygas left the machine thwarted from achieving it's goal. Once all were collected they transported the Aegis Engine crystal onto the ship and using the portal created by Maeve returned to the ship and left the planet.
